About Lauren
Life can present challenges that leave us feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure of where to turn. Reaching out for support isn’t always easy, and my goal is to provide a safe, collaborative space where you feel genuinely heard, respected, and supported.
I work with individuals, couples, and families experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship and communication concerns, self-esteem challenges, body image and disordered eating, emotional regulation difficulties, and life transitions. My work integrates evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), Somatic Experiencing, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Gottman Method interventions, tailoring therapy to your unique needs, strengths, and goals.
Together, we’ll work to better understand your experiences, strengthen coping skills, improve relationships, and create meaningful, lasting change. I believe meaningful growth happens when people feel safe enough to explore their experiences with curiosity, compassion, and without judgment. My aim is to help you develop greater self-awareness, self-compassion, and confidence while building a life that feels more authentic and fulfilling.
Hi! I’m Lauren, a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), holding a Master of Education in Counselling Psychology from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education at the University of Toronto.
My experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds has reinforced my appreciation for the unique experiences, resilience, and strengths that lie within each person. As a multiracial clinician from a family of first-generation Korean immigrants, I understand the important role that culture, identity, family dynamics, and our environment can play in shaping mental health. I strive to provide culturally responsive, anti-oppressive care where clients feel accepted, respected, and understood.
I believe therapy should be both compassionate and practical. While creating a supportive environment is essential, I also aim to help clients build meaningful insight, develop effective coping strategies, and recognize the strengths they already possess. My hope is that you’ll leave each session feeling heard, supported, and equipped with practical tools and new perspectives that foster lasting growth beyond the therapy room.
Finding the right therapist is an important part of the process, and I’d be happy to connect for a free consultation to answer your questions, learn more about what you’re looking for, and determine whether we’d be a good fit. I look forward to meeting you!
