About Brooke

Hi, I’m Brooke, and I’m so glad that you’re here.

Maybe you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or struggling to keep up with life’s demands. Or maybe everything in your life looks good on the surface, but something still feels missing. Whatever brings you to therapy, you don’t have to navigate it alone. We’ll work together to help you better understand yourself and reconnect with what is most important to you.

I believe that the most important relationship you can have is with yourself. You are the expert in your life, and my role is to walk alongside you as you navigate your story. My goal is to create a warm, non-judgmental, and safe space for you to explore and reflect on your experiences.

There is something unique about each person that comes into therapy, and my approach reflects that. I integrate aspects from a range of therapeutic modalities into my practice, including cognitive behavioural, person-centred, psychodynamic, and mindfulness-based therapies. We will work together to find what feels right for you.

I completed my bachelor’s degree in psychology at Western University and am now pursuing my Master of Education in Counselling Psychology at the University of Toronto. My diverse clinical, volunteer, and research experiences continuously shape how I approach therapy. In the past, I was a behaviour therapist supporting children and youth with autism, and I have volunteered as a crisis responder with Kids Help Phone. My undergraduate research focused on eating disorders and body image, and I am passionate about bringing this knowledge to my therapeutic practice.

Outside the clinic, I love spending time with my family and friends, walking my dog, baking, trying new restaurants and cafés, and practicing hot yoga. These are a few of the activities that fill my cup and keep me grounded, which I truly value.

If this resonates with you, I’d love to connect for a free consultation.

How We Might Work Together

I often work with people experiencing anxiety, stress, or burnout.

I particularly enjoy supporting young adults who are navigating life transitions, periods of change, and uncertainty.

I work with individuals experiencing disordered eating, body image concerns, or challenges with self-esteem.

I also have experience working with neurodivergent individuals, including those with autism and ADHD.

Additionally, I enjoy supporting people as they navigate relationships, attachment, and interpersonal patterns.

Patterns & Topics That Frequently Come Up in Session

I often find myself working with people who want to understand themselves better but aren’t quite sure where to start. They might wonder why they react in certain ways, or why certain situations bring up particular thoughts and feelings. Our conversations often focus on making sense of these experiences, noticing patterns, and exploring how they view themselves and the world around them. From there, we work together toward meaningful change that feels aligned with what matters most to them.

What Inspires My Work as a Therapist

I am continually inspired by witnessing people show up for themselves in therapy. We often think that therapy means changing ourselves, but I’ve learned that it is much more about showing up as we are. It is an honour to sit with someone as they navigate some of their most challenging experiences, and it gives me hope to witness the courage, growth, and self-compassion that emerge through that process.

What's My Story

Navigating my own experiences with mental health has shown me the value of having someone who truly listens without judgement. I’ve learned that there is no universal path to healing or “right way” to approach therapy. We all deserve support that feels genuine and honours our unique needs.

What It's Like To Work With Me

My aim is to be warm and inclusive, creating a space where you feel safe being yourself and exploring your experiences. I believe that therapy should feel like a conversation—something that we’re navigating together, where you can be open without fear of judgment. I hope that our work together feels collaborative and supportive, working at a pace that feels right for you.

What Do You Enjoy Outside of Therapy?

I believe that making time for self-care and for the things that bring us joy is an important part of taking care of ourselves. Outside of the therapy room, I love spending time with my family and friends, walking my dog, and baking. I also enjoy trying new restaurants and cafés, as well as practicing hot yoga.

What I Wish More People Knew About Mental Health & Healing

When it comes to mental health, I wish more people understood that two things can be true at once. We can be grateful for our lives, proud of our accomplishments, and still experience difficulties. Struggling doesn’t mean we’re failing, and reaching out for help or being kind to ourselves is not a sign of weakness. We all deserve to offer ourselves the same compassion and understanding that we offer to others.

Owning our story can be hard but not nearly as difficult as spending our lives running from it.
