About Neeti

Life experiences can leave us feeling distressed, puzzled, and uncertain. My goal is to support you in exploring and understanding your experiences.

Hi, my name is Neeti Trivedi, and I have over five years of experience supporting older adults and their families in community settings. My experience of working with clients and families has enabled me to help clients cope with stressors, such as caregiver burnout, self-worth concerns, social anxieties, depression, and emotional awareness.

At times, our presenting concerns may influence our ability to recognize strengths. I use a strength-based approach to understand your unique experiences and recognize your internal strengths. Awareness of strengths can promote clarity of goals and life objectives. I employ my therapeutic knowledge and skills to collaborate with you on uniquely designed treatment plans.

I utilize principles from CBT, SFT, EFT, PCT, and Narrative therapeutic frameworks to incorporate the most effective strategies for my clients. I help clients from diverse backgrounds and promote an accepting and welcoming environment. My goal is to utilize my knowledge and skills to provide clients with tools that can enhance their well-being and enable them to achieve desired outcomes.

Supporting youth, adults, older adults, and their caregivers from various diverse backgrounds.

Many individuals from various backgrounds encounter challenges related to perfectionism and feelings of inadequacy.

These challenges often arise from persistent pressures to achieve success in social, professional, or personal contexts.

In certain instances, such pressures can contribute to the development of social anxiety and depression, particularly in situations where family expectations and caregiver burnout are significant factors.

I understand the impact of these feelings on mental health and well-being and tailor treatment plans and interventions aligned with these mindful considerations.

The conversations I find myself having again and again

I frequently engage in significant explorations that focus on the emotional overwhelm experienced by many individuals. It is not uncommon to confront concerns of judgment, navigate the complexities of cultural, familial, and religious orientations, and contend with the expectations imposed by oneself and others. I observe how these factors significantly influence one’s sense of accomplishment, identity, and their perception of self and the world around them.

What gives me hope

My clients’ collaboration, readiness, and input continue to inspire me as a therapist. They have shown me that each individual is the best judge of their own situation and has the potential to achieve their desired goals and make meaningful changes. By providing a non-judgmental space, I help my clients tap into their unique strengths and skills, empowering them to develop resolutions that align with their values and abilities. Their openness and feedback reflect the possibilities for growth, change, and enhancement that each person can achieve.

What principles guide your work as a therapist?

My therapeutic practice is anchored in the core values of radical autonomy, cultural humility, and compassionate accountability. When navigating heavy life stressors, major transitions, or deep-seated self-worth concerns, my primary commitment is to provide a safe, respectful environment where you never have to worry about judgment or being forced into a rigid, one-size-fits-all mould. Together, we will gently unpack and manage the challenges of anxiety, depression, addictions, and anger, while actively unlearning exhausting people-pleasing habits that pull you away from your true self. Good therapy means honouring your unique cultural and generational story, listening actively to your needs, and earning your trust by steadily empowering your independence. Ultimately, I never tire of exploring how we can build the deep, authentic safety needed for true healing, and my goal is to ensure you feel fundamentally safe, seen, and equipped to break down barriers so you can confidently reclaim your personal power and peace of mind. If you are looking for a collaborative, empowering space to explore your own story and rewrite the patterns that no longer serve you, I invite you to reach out today to book an initial consultation.

What aspects of being human keep drawing your curiosity and attention?

My own journey has given me a deep appreciation for the diverse paths we walk, shaping my commitment to providing care that honors your unique story and protects your autonomy. Having had the privilege of walking alongside youth, adults, older adults, and caregivers from all walks of life, my mind constantly returns to the themes of belonging, resilience, and the power of human connection. I am deeply curious about how people navigate major life transitions—like moving to a new country or entering a new stage of life—while holding onto who they are, and it constantly inspires me to see how individuals uncover inner strength to reclaim their independence despite heavy systemic or personal barriers. Because I work across the entire lifespan, I am fascinated by how stories, grief, and survival strategies are passed down through families, and how we can consciously choose which patterns to keep or rewrite. Ultimately, I never tire of exploring how we can build the deep, authentic safety needed for true healing, and I am always drawn to conversations about what it truly takes to make every single person feel fundamentally seen, safe, and free to be themselves.

What it's like to work with me

I present myself as an empathetic, attentive, and respectful individual, aiming to create an open and accepting therapeutic environment for my clients. They appreciate my receptiveness to feedback and my collaborative approach to setting goals and treatment plans. I strive to meet my clients where they are and to foster a safe and open space for their growth.

Who are you when you're not working?

Outside of the therapy room, I actively practice what I teach to stay grounded; I meditate daily, go for intentional walks and bicycle rides to process my thoughts, and lose myself in a good book. I recharge by spending quality time with my friends and family—who will gladly tell you I spend far too much time talking about how our unique environments, cultures, and biology intertwine to shape who we are.

Courage doesn’t always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, “I will try again tomorrow.”
