Therapist Intern

(Under the supervision of a Registered Psychotherapists)

Welcome. I understand the frustration of wanting change but feeling like you're stuck in place. It’s painful to feel like you’re struggling on your own. You don’t have to be alone in this — I’m here to walk alongside you and offer the support you deserve on this journey.

I immigrated to Canada at an early age and grew up in a mixed-race household. Navigating my cultural identities alongside years of experience in crisis response and trauma recovery informs the deep respect I hold for the stories that we carry, as well as my holistic lens and understanding of how culture in our home and our communities shape our narratives. My role is to help you gain insight as we uncover and bring awareness to the deep roots of your story and your concerns, and discover how to harness your unique strengths and wisdom toward positive shifts in your life. I offer a space centered around safety and collaboration, where meaningful change can take place. My approach is empathetic, warm, and above all, attuned to the present moment. I am committed to meeting you where you are.

My lived and work experience inform my integrative approach, and I utilize a variety of evidence-based therapies such as Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Trauma-Informed Recovery, Narrative Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and somatic-based techniques. My specialities include trauma, anxiety, depression, attachment, relationships, life transitions, identity, culture, family of origin, and grief and loss. I am deeply committed to a practice that is trauma-informed, culturally responsive, decolonial, anti-racist, anti-oppressive, and identity affirming.

Outside of the clinic, I enjoy slowing down in nature, rock climbing, cycling, dancing, reading and writing, thrifting, documentary films, discovering cafes and libraries, meditation, live music, and cooking — especially Korean cuisine, which captures a sense of home for me. I’m also passionate about community involvement in the areas of social justice and collective care.

I provide flexible in-person or virtual scheduling options and can accommodate a sliding scale rate if needed. If you’ve read my bio and feel like we might be a good fit to work together, I invite you to take the first step by reaching out for a free 15-20 minute phone consultation. I look forward to connecting with you and answering any questions you may have.
