About Charmaine

Charmaine Tong is a Registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers.

Charmaine has experience working with individuals and families who require support for psychological issues arising from emotional and behavioral issues, relational issues, mental health issues, and major stressful events such as motor vehicle accident injuries. She primarily works from a trauma-informed and anti-oppressive lens, incorporating acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), narrative therapy, and a strength-based approach to best support her clients on their journeys.

Charmaine is committed to collaboratively working with her clients to strategically develop treatment plans and interventions that help restore hope and empower them to walk their recovery journeys with boldness and confidence. She believes every story matters and is passionate about listening to her clients' deepest desires and needs.

"It is so important to take time for yourself and find clarity. The most important relationship is the one you have with yourself"
