We do not choose our upbringing and the many unexpected complexities life brings, yet, we are impacted nonetheless. The good news is that who we will become is not defined by these inevitable circumstances but by how we react to them. The fact that you consider change and bravely look for the right support shows how you intend to respond to your life events, and it is something to be proud of yourself.
Together we can support you in regaining control while dealing with anxiety and depression, finding meaning in life, understanding ourselves more deeply, becoming comfortable with who we are, and fulfilling our full potential as neurodivergent individuals. Therapy starts first with creating a comfortable environment where it is safe to share feelings and thoughts that are usually hard to express. In our collaboration, we will get to the heart of the matter and utilize the best fit of therapeutic interventions to better support you in reaching your goals, strengths, and values.
In my own journey, I have chosen meditation and mindfulness when I struggled with chronic pain and anxiety. I sought therapy as a support when navigating through my own experiences as an immigrant and a graduate student in Canada. Through these explorations and various other roles, I learned that my passion and strengths are in helping others. So, I transitioned from an environmental engineer who helped people access clean water to a psychotherapist who assists them in making a fulfilling life.
