Hi there, my name is Lauren and I’m a psychotherapist intern at Your Story. I understand, first-hand, how chaotic life can feel, and I commend you for your bravery in seeking support and beginning your healing journey. Your needs are important to me, and I hope to provide you with a safe and comforting environment where we can collaboratively explore those concerns and work towards your goals.

 

Having a multi-racial identity and coming from a family of first-generation immigrants, I understand how important it is to consider aspects of identity and the broader social context one is immersed in. I believe each person has individualized needs, worldviews, and goals, all of which are valid and valuable. Our experiences make us who we are, and I aim to collaboratively create a therapeutic treatment that feels best for clients based on their uniqueness.

 

My integrative approach mainly lies within the practices of cognitive-behavioral, narrative, mindfulness, and interpersonal therapies. I also believe in the importance of developing and practicing adaptive skills to help you manage and cope with difficult experiences and relationships more effectively.
