"Real change, enduring change, happens one step at a time"

Hello, and thank you for taking the time to read my profile.

My educational background in sociology, international development, and counselling psychology and 10+ years in the non-profit sector has provided me with in-depth experience working with diverse populations.

While living abroad for several years, I realized that my passion for social justice was rooted in helping individuals to live their best lives and I decided to become a therapist. As someone who has attended therapy for more than 20+ years, I know how challenging it can feel to be vulnerable with another person. This is why I will always be trustworthy, kind, and professional so you can feel safe. Through mindfulness, I've learned how to get out of my head and into the present moment, which has helped me to worry less and appreciate each moment that life has to offer.

With me, you can expect a non-judgemental, supportive, and welcoming space to explore your feelings, emotions, and thoughts. I can help you to identify, and distinguish between, your thoughts, feelings, and beliefs so you can feel empowered to live your fullest life. We will also laugh, as therapy doesn’t have to always be serious!

I utilize an integrative approach drawing from narrative therapy and person-centred therapy to ensure you receive personalized treatment. I have personally experienced traumatic loss, and my ongoing experience in grief allows me to meet you where you are. To me, life is an ocean with waves that rise and fall and then rise again, and we must learn to do the same.

I look forward to working with you.
