About Lynda

To be born into this world is to experience all that life has to offer.  Living, and being human, also means that throughout one’s life, they will experience challenges.  They will encounter events that result in feelings of anxiety, sadness, pain, loss, confusion, emptiness, or troubled relationships.  Sometimes, these feelings and issues may even surface without a specific event or trigger, and a person simply finds themselves feeling “stuck”.  When this happens, seeking help through therapy is a common step for many people.

In my role as a psychotherapist, I hope to help you navigate the challenges you are experiencing in your life, and to help you reach your therapy goals.  I use various types of therapy including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), narrative therapy, psychoanalytic/psychodynamic therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT) informed therapy, and person-centred therapy.

In addition to my psychotherapist hat, I also wear the hat of a certified Human Resources professional.  My 15+ years in Human Resources has afforded me skills and knowledge that I incorporate into my work as a psychotherapist, particularly in the areas of career goals and co-worker relationships.

A little bit about myself, I enjoy collecting vinyl records, watching documentaries, and collecting crystals/rocks.  I am passionate about supporting koala rescues in Australia to ensure the survival of the now endangered animals.

*I conduct my sessions in English, but clients are welcome to speak in Cantonese or Mandarin to communicate based on their comfort level.*
