I believe that healing is possible when we’re given the space to be seen and heard for who we truly are. My approach is centered on providing that space for you, free from judgement, assumptions and stigma.
I have always been drawn to understanding people holistically and uncovering who they are beneath the surface. My priority is to build a strong foundation of safety and trust in our therapeutic relationship, so that you feel comfortable showing up as your authentic self.
My practice is anti-oppressive, culturally responsive and identity-affirming. My work is informed by the understanding that our mental health is shaped not only by internal factors, but also by our social and cultural environments. As a South Asian Canadian, I understand the complexities, and strengths, that come from living between two different worlds. I recognize the impact that cultural values, family dynamics, and systemic issues can have on personal experiences and challenges. I bring this awareness into the therapy space by creating an environment where we can openly explore how these influences shape your thoughts, emotions and behaviours.
Whether you're navigating identity struggles, family/relationship issues, intergenerational trauma, life transitions or are seeking a deeper understanding of yourself, I’m here to support you. We all come from unique life experiences and identities, and therapy is not “one size fits all”. I’m committed to tailoring my approach to meet your individual needs and preferences.
Outside of work, I enjoy exploring cultures, cuisines and languages, spending time outdoors, creating memories with loved ones, pushing myself outside of my comfort zone through new adventures, and listening to music of diverse genres and languages. Music has always been a powerful way for me to connect with my emotions and the human experience.
If you’re interested in working with me, I invite you to reach out for a free consultation. I offer flexible scheduling for in-person and online sessions, and reduced fee options to best meet your financial needs. I look forward to meeting you.
