I thought I’d take some time to introduce myself here. My name is Faiza Haroon and I am a Reigstered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registrered Psychotherapists of Ontario.
Growing up in Toronto, I always knew I wanted to make a career out of something I was passionate about, but I wasn’t quite sure of what that would be. After graduating from high school with honours, I got into University of Toronto for an undergraduate degree in Business Management (BBA). Through my first year I was uncertain if this was the right path for me - Econ 101 was just not lighting that fire in me! I took an Introduction to Psychology course as an elective this year. Little did I know it was going to change my entire life. I absolutely fell in love with it and the rest is history.
After graduating with an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology, I went on to work for a few years before deciding to pursue my Masters in Counselling Psychology.
Through the years, I have been on my journey towards healing, fulfillment, and personal development, learning and growing as a human, and imparting this knowledge and healing to others.
My work is more than a career for me, it is a calling. I love doing what I do! It brings me comfort and joy to know I helped make a difference, however tiny it may be, in someone’s life.
As a work in progress, I enjoy learning and so a lot of my time is spent attending trainings, listening to podcasts, reading research, articles, psycho-educational, and self-help books.
When I’m not working, I love spending time in nature - hiking, kayaking, canoeing, or simply walking. This nurtures my mind, body, and soul connection, restores my sense of balance, brings comforting inner peace, and leaves me feeling rejuvenated.
I believe we all have inner wisdom deep within us. As a therapist, my role is to supportively help you find it, voice it, and live it. Allow me to walk with you as you embark on your journey towards healing, personal development, and an overall more fulfilling
